Biography

Melanie joined the University Communications and Marketing team as a Communications Manager in January 2018. Her primary role is to help create and support the University’s strategic public relations campaigns that align with institutional goals.

She is from Savannah, Georgia, and has more than 20 years of experience in media relations and writing. Previously, she served as Armstrong State University’s Public Relations Manager and has directed creative content and strategic public relations campaigns for various industries throughout the region.

Melanie is also author of the best-selling 2016 book, La Americana: A Memoir.
